The tips are made of very durable material and the product is ideal for frozen ground. Warnings:

make sure that the tip is worn all the way down for proper use

use on frozen/earthy terrain (not on rock, not on paving/asphalt)

the tip comes with a cover that is used to insert the tip onto the tube

the indoor tip cover is not to be considered as a tip itself, but as temporary protection for limited movements and to help to fit the tip

it is recommended to assemble it in not frozen environments, to make easier the assembly (the tip/plastic cold is hard and more difficult to fit)
