While taking a step, at the time when all the body’s weight is concentrated on Tompoma crutches, they are perfectly perpendicular to the ground. Weight discharges to the ground with a 90 degrees angle with fewer risks of falling and more safety on sliding floors and difficult ground too.
The natural walk setting weights shoulders and back down less compared to other crutches and forces users to maintain an erect posture: walking is less tiring.

TOMPOMA AND SAFETY
All Tompoma products are characterised by 3 safety levels:
1- the aid’s design. The characteristic and patented Tompoma design enables the user at the time of maximum load on the aid to draw with the ground and longer tube a 90° degrees angle. That’s the best configuration in terms of safety. At the time of discharging the weight, all other crutches draw an angle less than 90 degrees: thereby the chance of slipping and falling is very high whilst exerting force/weight on the tube;
2- the ferrules that touch the ground. Tompoma uses top quality ferrules. They are subject to consumption due to use: the user must periodically test their condition and replace them when needed. Thanks to meticulous attention to safety, Tompoma focused on different types of ground and different contexts of use of our aids. Hence you can find different ferrules, each of them suitable for different contexts. If you are unsure about the ferrule choice, our customer service is always at your disposal;
3- the chosen Tompoma model. Each model has different characteristics and resistance and you must choose it bearing in mind different factors like height, weight, the type of use and therefore of performance that you want from our aids.
WHY IS WALKING WITH TOMPOMA EASIER
THAN WITH OTHER CRUTCHES?
The ADVANTAGES of Tompoma compared to forearm or axillary crutches.
Tompoma are conceived to modify the barycentre. Normal crutches have an incidence angle less than 90° degrees. That makes the user exert a big push to go beyond the crutches. Tompoma at the time of maximum load draws a 90° degrees angle with the ground. Therefore while modifying the barycentre, the user goes forward effortlessly by pendulum movement. This guarantees ease, simplicity and less effort. You will feel like flying!
